Powell & Sons Engineering Pty Ltd is a practical, hands-on maintenance and support business providing reliable services across industrial, commercial, and residential environments.
We deliver shift coverage for trade assistants, maintenance fitters, and maintenance planners, supporting continuity of operations where experienced technical support is required. In addition, we undertake workshop machinery maintenance and repair work, ranging from routine servicing through to complex fault rectification.
Alongside our industrial and residential work, Powell & Sons Engineering Pty Ltd also provides NDIS-aligned property, handyman, and lawn maintenance services.
These services are delivered with a focus on clear scopes of work, safety, and respectful engagement with participants and their living environments.
Our History
Our story begins with a deep-rooted family commitment to engineering excellence, propelled by a rich history of expertise and dedication. Founded as a family startup, we are built on a foundation of strong values and extensive experience in the engineering field. My own journey in engineering began in the esteemed Royal Australian Navy, where I gained invaluable qualifications and skills that have shaped my professional ethos. My military background instilled in me a rigorous attention to detail and a robust work ethic, qualities that are at the core of our business practices today.
After my service, I moved into the civilian sector with Interface Australia, one of the country’s largest textile manufacturers. I began as a Planner and quickly progressed to managing the Engineering & Maintenance Department, gaining deep insight into large‑scale operations and industry needs.
I later joined Dematic, where I advanced from Shift Supervisor to Operations Manager. Working with a high‑performing maintenance team inside a state‑of‑the‑art automated facility for a top ASX listed company, set the benchmark for the precision and reliability I expect today.
These experiences led me to establish Powell & Sons Engineering — built on technical excellence, integrity, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality, dependable engineering solutions. Our history is the foundation for the workmanship and performance our clients rely on every day.
